Iszzy Williamson is a psychology major. Emily Weir is an expert on Dr. Phil and has been in therapy since she was eight. Join them as they cure your brains while trying not to have a breakdown themselves. Pulling on self-help and pop psychology tropes, these two absurd and disturbed individuals create a mind-altering yet heartwarming comedy experience. Who says destigmatising mental illnesses can't be completely hysterical? Do not operate heavy machinery after watching.
Emily Weir is an award-winning and professional writer and comedian formerly of Brisbane who specialises in aggressively surreal yet political content. She also loves nature documentaries and cereal. Iszzy Williamson is a whippersnapper who has snapped so many whippers in her time ( and she's very sorry about that). She regularly performs comedy and is heavily involved in student radio. They are both alumni of Melbourne University comedy group The Mudcrabs and have performed in multiple shows across the Melbourne Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals.
Iszzy and Emily are being produced and directed by mythical comedy being Ben Volchok, who has been writing and performing comedy for almost ten years. He's created numerous shows live on stage, on radio and as podcasts, and is now eminently pleased to go behind the scenes to bring a terrific new comedy show to life in MICF 2019.
